New WhatsApp App feature

See what is the new feature of the WhatsApp application, which provides more privacy in user conversations.

How to use the new feature?

1. Open WhatsApp;

4. Protect the conversation that was selected.

Account theft protection measure

WhatsApp also brought a measure this year that should help a lot to protect user accounts.

If the user wants to transfer his account to a new device, he must authorize the transfer through the old cell phone.

This will still help the user to know if someone is trying to steal their account. If the user does not authorize it, the transfer action is blocked.

Verification of the transfer happens like this:

• The WhatsApp application sends a notification to the old cell phone, so that the user can authorize the account migration;
• This notification should contain some information, which includes the model of the new cell phone, where the account will go;
• It is still notified that the account will be deleted from the old device after the transfer.

This should go a long way in preventing recurring account thefts and scams.

Some users sometimes send the app verification code to third parties, which can result in scams, and the new feature blocks the act.

What if they steal my cell phone?

If the device has been stolen or stolen, the user can ask the app for a one-time password to recover their account.

This also serves when the device breaks down or is lost, or any situation where the user cannot access it anymore.
