Vehicle Auction – Cars and Motorcycles

Denatran provides another virtual vehicle auction. The virtual auction of vehicles promoted by Denatran will start next week but bids and vehicles can already be viewed.

There will be 36 lots with preserved motorcycles and cars that are able to circulate and are in the courtyard accredited by the Traffic Department (Detran).

The vehicle auction has vehicles with an initial value of R$ 500.00. Those interested can compete, for example, for a Honda/CB 300R motorcycle, with offers starting at R$ 1,000, and a KIA Sorento EX2 3.5G27 car, with a minimum bid of R$ 12,000.

Proposals will have to be sent exclusively through the virtual platform available on the Dertran website – detran.mg.gov.br. The winner of the auction will be the one that makes the highest bid on the vehicle of interest, within the stipulated period.

Who can participate in the Vehicle Auction?

Anyone can participate as long as they are over 18 years old and register on the site in advance, it's very simple.

All vehicles will be able to circulate normally after the transfer is carried out and any damages, if any.

To participate in the auction, it is necessary to register on the website responsible for the Detran Vehicle Auction System (leilao.detran.gov.br). The interested party must also observe the public notice regarding the registration, informing a valid e-mail address for communication from the transit institution about the public notice.

According to the director of the DMV due to the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, the virtual action also helps to avoid the crowding of people on the spot, a very important measure to reduce the spread of covid-19.

“The online auction is a way for us to continue complying with the legislation and the work of emptying the Detran yards, putting preserved vehicles into circulation that could suffer depreciation and mechanical problems over time”, he reinforces.

The public notice with the complete list of vehicles available for Auction that will be auctioned is available on the website, as well as the amount of the initial bid, among other guidelines, can be consulted at www.detran.mg.gov.br.
