In the locations of Caicó/RN, Campina Grande/PB, Caruaru/PE, Juazeiro/BA, Mossoró/RN and Petrolina/PE.

In the locations of Araguari, Conceição das Alagoas, Nova Serrana, Prata, Uberaba and Uberlândia.

Program Details

The program Internet Brazil aims to ensure free access to the network for students.

This enables schools to offer a more complete education, with easy access to educational resources.

Consequently, exploring new approaches in the learning process.

Participation Procedure

For students to participate, schools and Education Departments must join the program.

Such institutions should complete all accession phases.

Adherence to the program must be done through the Integrated Monitoring, Execution and Control System of the Ministry of Instruction (SIMEC).

It is still the responsibility of the Education Departments to establish school selection criteria.

Schools, in turn, need to:

  • Confirm your membership via Direct Money at School Program (PDDE);
  • Establish distribution criteria among eligible students;
  • Nominate beneficiaries who meet the program criteria;
  • Manage all changes that may affect students’ right to benefit.

As for students, they should also meet certain requirements:

  • Be enrolled in primary education from the third year onwards or in secondary education;
  • Do not have a SIM card from other government policies;
  • Demonstrate interest in joining the program;
  • Sign a term of commitment;
  • Be registered in the Individual Registry for Social Programs (RUP);
  • Own a mobile device.
  • Study in the state basic education network;

Neutral Card

Students who participate in Internet Brasil will receive a neutral chip.

Which provides access to the internet and makes it easy to switch operators remotely.
